Keeping your appointment: Appointment availability is precious - others are inevitably waiting for a spot. If you cancel an appointment with less than 2 days notice another person may miss an opportunity to get help. We send text reminders 3 days in advance of appointments, and we also ask that you note your appointment in your diary at the time of booking. Please always give us as much notice as possible if you can't make it, to maximise our chance of offering your spot to another person. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, and you provide more than 2 days notice, we won'tcharge a cancellation fee. However, to reduce the number of late cancellations Alison Manning Psychology has introduced a policy of charging the full feefor appointments cancelled within 24 hours of the booking if the spot cannot be filled by another client. If you provide between 24-48 hours notice we will charge a $100 cancellation fee. If the cancelled appointment spot can be filled we won't charge any cancellation fee.
Medicare rebates: Clients who have a Mental Health Care Plan from a Doctor are eligible for a rebate of approximately $90 per session for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. Payment methods: From 1st November 2023 invoices will be issued ahead of your session so payment will be made online before you attend your appointment. If you have a GP referral Alison Manning Psychology can process your Medicare rebate so that it is deposited into your nominated bank account within 48 hours of your appointment. This requires providing your Medicare and Bank Account details.
It is helpful if you have registered your bank account details with Medicare. This can be done: Online – via my.gov.au or the Express Plus Medicare mobile app By post – search ‘collection form’ at www.humanservices.gov.au Over the phone – by calling 132 011 In person – at a service centre
